Experts with more than 100 years of know-how in Technical Ceramics
Ceramic Production has a long tradition with Bosch. Mass-production of ground-breaking Bosch spark plugs began at the start of the 20th century, and in 1939 Bosch registered its first patent for Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM). CERIX was founded in 2016 as a Start-Up, to bring together Bosch competence in Technical Ceramics and further drive development.
Experience meets Innovation
CERIX is a part of grow platform GmbH, which drives business innovation and supports new business ideas as a 100% subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. Promising ideas are professionally supported to optimally combine the know-how of a global player with the flexibility of a Start-Up.
CERIX originally comes from the Bosch Blaichach plant, which has manufactured parts for the automotive industry for many years. This works to our advantage, as producing millions of parts with high and consistent quality is our standard. We produce challenging products out of Technical Ceramics in line with these standards, and develop innovative production techniques, so that our customers can benefit from our know-how to manufacture new products applying these state-of-the-art techniques.
Bosch and CERIX Milestones in Technical Ceramics
First Patent for Ceramic Injection Molding
The first patent for ceramic injection molding lays the foundation for excellence in ceramic production.
Multi-component Injection Molding
Due to process developments with in-mold labeling, different materials can now be produced with one tool.
CERIX founded as a corporate start-up in order to meet the growing demand, to drive technological advancements, and to access new markets.
First Serial Production with 3D Printing
While most companies use 3D printing only for producing prototypes, CERIX has made the leap to industrial production using 3D ceramic printing.
